"I was wanting to try working with carbon for a long time now and this finally got me to do it. Now there's no going back. The whole car will be carbon like your 240 before I know it! "

"Made some parts for me Lexus ISF time attack car. Anywhere i can save weight on this pig is big. Had an off and cracked up the front end so instead of buying new OEM part$ i decided to just splash what i could in carbon along with repairs i needed.  Made some headlight blanks, upper grill, radio block off to go with some other weight reduction. "

"Its a 1977 Yamaha xs750, the "hood" piece or headlight bezel is complete carbon, 4 layers. It is a complete custom piece, I started with cardboard, paper mache, fiberglass, then bondo to make my plug on which I wet layed the carbon over top. It was popped off, then cleared. The tank and tail piece are just overlayed with one layer of fabric. The "taillight cover" is 4 layers of full carbon though."

Do you want to make your own custom carbon fiber parts?

Our starter kit gives you the materials you need to do your own layup whether you want to skin an existing part or make new strong and lightweight carbon fiber pieces patterned from your own mold or part.

    High Quality Materials

Our kit materials were selected by working closely with our supplier, Fiber Glast, to give DIYers the best possible results.

The included system 2000 Epoxy Resin is ideal for learning how to layup composite pieces. It’s a medium viscosity, light amber laminating resin that provides fantastic strength and sanding characteristics for a room temperature epoxy.

    DON'T GET STUCK

The Partall mold release wax and PVA film included in our kits work together to make sure your part doesn't get locked into your mold.

The wax provides a durable, high gloss surface on your mold and the PVA film is water soluble for easy cleanup.
